Hurbert Eugene Roark, 79, of St. James, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at Oak Pointe Care Center in Rolla.
He was born May 11, 1944, to Raymond Leonard and Beatrice Hicks Roark in St. James.
He retired from Boys Town and was the wagon master in 1986.
Hurbert was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Beatrice; daughter, Violet Rose La Rue; brothers, Marvin Newman Roark, Charles Ray Roark, Farron Eugene Roark and Roger Dale Roark.
He is survived by daughters, Sarah Jane DeClue of Rolla, and Penny Lynn Roark of Cuba; sisters, Oma Lavern Picker of Belle, and Sharon Lynn Valley of High Point; and four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
His ashes will be interred in the Flag Springs Cemetery.
