Holmes Frederic Boroughf, 82, Brentwood, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2021, in Bethesda Dilworth Nursing Home, St. Louis.
He was born July 20, 1938, to Arthur Wade and Carolyn Lavenia (Cottrell) Boroughf, in Detroit, Mich.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue Jennings, July 1, 1966, in Kenner Church of God, Dixon.
Holmes served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Brentwood. He was employed by the Defense Mapping Agency (now known as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency), St. Louis, as a cartographer for 35 years, prior to his retirement.
He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Carolyn; son, Benjamin Holmes Boroughf; parents-in-law, Chester Wesley and Martha Isabelle (Roberson) Jennings; and brother-in-law, Larry Chester Jennings.
He is survived by wife, Carolyn, of the home; daughter, Heather Rose Boroughf of Brentwood; sister-in-law, Brenda Tyler and husband Charles of Hayden; and four granddaughters.
Services are pending. Inurnment will be in Kenner Cemetery near Dixon. Memorial contributions suggested to Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, the Principia Solar Car team in Elsah, Ill., or the St. Louis Area Food Bank.
