Glenn LeRoy Dressendofer, 81, Vichy, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Phelps Health in Rolla.

He was born Jan. 16, 1941 to Ernest L. and Inez E. (Eddy) Dressendofer in Rolla. He was the oldest of three children. 

He graduated from Rolla High School in 1958. 

Glenn was united in marriage to Linda Kay Yoakum, June 12, 1964. They made a life together for 52 years. Linda Kay passed away on Nov. 30, 2015. Later on, Glenn found happiness when he married Patricia Hollandsworth, Sept. 1, 2017. Together they enjoyed every aspect of the farm, the gardening and canning of the vegetables, their dogs and chickens. 

After graduating, he started working at the Dressendofer Farm. In 1979 Glenn built his home where he lived the rest of his life. In the same year he was selected for the 1979 Pork All American for the State of Missouri. Glenn raised hogs for 47 years, besides working as the Maries County Commissioner for 20 years. After semi-retiring, Glenn invested his time in Black Angus cattle. His farm was everything to him. He was a loving, hard working, kind-hearted and gentle spirited man. 

Glenn was very active member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Rolla, all of his life. In 1987, he was ordained as a Deacon of his church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school classes. Glenn devoted his life to follow his Lord and Savior, until he was called home to be with his Lord.

Glenn was a member of the Vichy Volunteer Fire Department all of his life and supported all the activities they held, he was a member of the Missouri Farm Bureau for many years, served on the Board for the Vichy Community Park until his passing. 

He was preceded in death by parents Ernest and Inez Dressendofer; parents-in-law Willard and Irene Yoakum; sister Betty (Dressendofer) Yoakum; brother David Dressendofer; wife Linda Kay (Yoakum) Dressendofer; brother-in-law Delmar Yoakum; and dear friend William Scheider. 

Glenn is survived by wife Patricia Dressendofer of the home; step-son Lucas Barnett and wife Crystal of St. James; step-daughter Carolyn Harmon and husband Tony of Rolla; five step-grandchildren Ethan, Isaac and Elijah Barnett, MacKenzie and Kennedy Harmon; nephews Roger Lynn Yoakum and wife Susan of Dixon, and Stanley Yoakum of Springfield; dear and close niece JoAnne Dressendofer of Point Pleasant, N.J.; and farm hand Ron ErxLeben of Vichy; from his late family niece Belinda Hilderbrand and husband Jim of St. James; nephews Robert Yoakum of Rolla, Anthony Yoakum and wife Nancy of Rolla, and Stacy Yoakum and wife Lisa of Rolla; brother-in-law Louis Yoakum of Rolla; and sister-in-law Joann Yoakum of Rolla; many great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family members; as well as, a passel full of good friends and church family.

Funeral services will be Wednesday (today), June 22, at 10 a.m., at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Rolla. Interment will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery.
