Geraldine Lavon “Gerrie” Myers, 87, Dixon, passed away Monday, Sept 13, 2021, in St. James Living Center, St. James.
She was born March 26, 1934, the daughter of Cletus and Nellie (Ramsell) Lekey in Burlington Junction.
She was united in marriage to Leslie Joseph “Les” Myers, July 30, 1955, in Overland.
Gerrie was a member of the Vienna-Bassett Fraternal Order of Eagles, Vienna. She was employed by Emerson Electric, St. Louis, and other workplaces as a factory machine operator, prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by parents Cletus and Nellie; and son Randall Darrell “Randy” Myers.
Gerrie is survived by husband Les; sons Charles “Chip” Haag and wife Jennifer of Florissant and Mark Myers and wife Erica of House Springs; daughter Vickie Myers of Lonedell; brother Bill Lekey and wife Susan of Dixon; and ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept.16, at 7:30 p.m. in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, Vienna, with Rev. Larry Sorrells, pastor of Vienna United Methodist Church officiating.
Memorials suggested to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
