Plow trucks were out on Monday, Jan. 6, in Belle attempting to clear the heavy mix of ice and snow that fell between Jan. 4–6 in portions of central, east central and and southeast Missouri. Anywhere between one and 12 inches of mixed precipitation were expected, depending on location, between Saturday night and Monday morning. Many area residents between Belle and Canaan reported thunder snow. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) warned of hazardous road conditions across the state on Monday morning, advising people to stay home.
