Douglas Gene Eads, 58, of Vienna passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at his home.

He was born July 2, 1964, in Jefferson City, a son of the late Levi Glennon and Judy (Weider) Eads.

After graduating from Maries R-1 High School in 1982, Doug spent most of his life self-employed working in the construction field. Doug and his wife opened, owned, and operated Vienna Marine for almost ten years from 2012-2021 before selling the business to semi-retire.

He was united in marriage to Kimberly Renea Willoughby, Dec. 24, 1982, at Meta, and to this union, two children were born.

Doug was the ultimate outdoorsman.  His greatest joys were anything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and providing for his family and friends. During his free time, he enjoyed coin collecting, being on the river, and ultimately spending time with his kids and grandkids; his family was everything to him.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Eads include his wife of 40 years, Kim Eads, of the home near Vienna; daughters, Dana (Chris) Wansing and Danielle (Dennis Hutchison) Eads; grandchildren, Dawson (Emily) Wansing, Zachary Wansing, Larissa Rollins, Kole Lindholm and Johanna Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Jonathon Wansing and Mallory Wansing; brothers, Dale (Deniece) Eads, Daren (Tammy) Eads; sister; Melissa Bauer (Tim Brown); and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Friday, June 2, in the Vienna Public Cemetery, Vienna, with Pastor Clifford Wagner, Jr. officiating, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Pallbearers for Doug were Dale Eads, Daren Eads, Cary Miller, Brandon McNeil, Chris Wansing, Dennis Hutchison, Chris Hilton and Kevin Heibel. Honorary pallbearers were Larissa Rollins, Zachary Wansing and Dawson Wansing.
