Chamois man in connection with a double homicide at a residence north of Linn.

Osage County Sheriff Michael C. Bonham announced today the arrest of a Chamois man in connection with a double homicide at a residence north of Linn.
Around noon on July 24, 2021, deputies responded to a residence north of Linn for a report of two deceased individuals. The deputies were able to quickly determine that Leonard Gerloff, age 59 and Pauline Gerloff, age 56, both of Chamois were deceased.
An investigation conducted by the Osage County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Division of Drug and Crime Control (D/DCC) determined that both were victims of an apparent homicide. Preliminary indications are both victims died of gunshot wounds.
The investigation led investigators to a Chamois man, identified as 62-year-old Warren Taylor. Taylor was taken into custody around 10:00 pm on July 24, 2021 and is currently incarcerated in the Osage County Jail where he is charged by the Osage County Prosecuting Attorney with two counts of Murder 1st Degree and two counts of Armed Criminal Action. He is being held without bond.

On July 24, 2021 at approximately 12 PM, the Osage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Osage County for a report of two individuals found laying in their yard.
Responding officers quickly determined that both individuals were deceased. Investigators from the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, along with the Osage County Coroner, responded and have begun an investigation into the deaths. The identity of the deceased and cause of death are not being released as the investigation continues.
