Dorothy “Dot” Joann (Farley) Slone Withers passed away on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at the age of 90 years. Dot was born on July 23, 1932, in Doolittle, to the late John and Ruth (Stevenson) Farley. She married Bill Slone and had five children. After Bill passed away Dot married William Withers.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Bill Slone, second husband William “Bill” Withers, three brothers, Jerry Moose, Bobby Farley, Bill Farley, and one son Ricky Slone.
Dot will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: one son, Randy Slone of Anchorage Ala.; three daughters, Linda Hoffman and husband JR of Freeburg, Debbie Fajardo and husband Dino of Anchorage, Ala., Barbara Cochran and fiancé David Caverly of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Bonnie Earhart of Rolla, Donna Sisk of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Dot loved being a part of the Dixon Saddle Club and spending time with family and friends. She attended the Santee Community Church in Dixon.
A funeral service for Dot J. Withers will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
