Donald “Don” Ryan Henry, 72, Vichy, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
He was born Sept. 19, 1949, to William “Bill” and Madeline (Gilliam) Henry in St. Louis.
Don was united in marriage to Susan (Daniels) Henry, May 31, 1969, at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Don graduated from Rolla High School in 1968. Don was in the Army Reserves for eight years after high school. Don was active in the Vichy Volunteer Fire Department, helped reclaim the Vichy Community Park and established a baseball and softball program for the youth in Vichy in the early 1980’s. Don was president of the Vichy Saddle Club and organized trail rides and gatherings for the members. Don attended church at Macedonia Baptist Church and was active in Sunday School and volunteer efforts. Don worked for American Family Insurance from 1980-1990 as an auto and personal property claims adjuster. Don also worked with Pilot Castastrophe Service as an adjuster and traveled the United States for years. Additionally, Don had the opportunity to work with his dad Bill and brother Larry at Independent Body Shop.
He was preceded in death by parents Bill and Madeline Henry; son Jordan Henry; brothers William “Gary” Henry and James Patrick “Pat” Henry; and mother-in-law Bessie Maxine Jacobs.
He is survived by wife Susan Henry of Vichy; sons Jason Henry of Webster Groves, and Jeremy Henry and wife Linsey of Lee’s Summit; brothers John Henry and wife Bonnie of Rogers, Ark., and Larry Henry and wife Judy of Camdenton; sister Linda Schweiss and husband Ron of Rolla; brother-in-law Steve Daniels; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, from 12–2 p.m. with memorial services following at the Null and Son Funeral Home, Rolla.
