I’m sorry Mr. Witte. I am not Bob McKee. Nor am I Tom Warden, who wrote a weekly column for this page for close to 50 years.
If I had a garden and knew how to grow prize-winning tomatoes, I would write about that. I do grow flowers. I wrote about that on May 5. It was entitled “On my knees for Mother’s Day.” Perhaps you missed that one.
I’m sorry that many of my columns disturb you. I write about what I see wrong with America and the Democrat party, such as defunding the police, open borders, lack of respect for the flag and more. I do this to make Democrats upset about what their party stands for. That gives them three choices; defend those policies, fight inside the party to change them, or leave their party.
On Feb. 24, my column was on nuclear energy. The week before that, I pointed out problems with wind and solar power. On March 3, I wrote about my experience being quarantined with COVID-19. The last week of March, my column was on Holy Week. For the April 21 newspaper, I talked about my experiences camping in a tent.
Check out my column from May 26, where I brought out my frustrations with the United States Post Office. One of my favorites for this year was the column from June 9, when I recalled the story of my grandfather, Ralph Warden, shooting one of our employee’s cats.
When you add those eight columns with the one that “surprised you,” that makes nine, that is over one-third of my columns for the first six months of 2021, not three in the last two years, as you claimed.
