Dennis “Shag” Eddie Kohlbusch, 72, Bland passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 4, 1948, to Eddie and Ethel (Dahl) Kohlbusch, in Hermann.
He was united in marriage to Loretta Brandt, June 7, 1969, at Beemont Methodist Church.
Dennis served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed shooting guns, trips to Eminence, going on mule rides, telling stories and dancing.
He was preceded in death by parents, Eddie and Ethel; and parents-in-law, Melvin and Adoree Brandt.
He is survived by wife, Loretta, of the home; daughters, Tiffany Kohlbusch of Owensville and Jennifer Roberson and husband Justin of Vienna; brothers, Sanford Kohlbusch and wife Janet of Berger, Glen Kohlbusch and wife Connie of New Haven and Tim Kohlbusch and special friend Susan Steinbeck of Owensville; grandchildren, Hayllee, Chance and Emma Roberson and Lainey Branson; and great-grandchildren, Opie and Piney Roberson.
Memorial services were held Sunday, Feb. 28, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Memorials requested to family’s choice.
