Daniel “Dan” J. Strohmeyer, 69, Linn, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 12, 1953, to the late Vito and Roberta (Werfel) Princivalli in St. Louis.

He was a 1971 graduate of Fox High School in Arnold and served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

Dan was united in marriage to Christine Harris Aug. 23, 1971, in House Springs.

He was employed by Hampton Inn in Jefferson City as head of the Maintenance Department for the last 14 years.

Dan was a life member of the Big River VFW Post in Cedar Hill.

He was preceded in death by parents, Vito and Roberta; and son, Daniel Joseph “DJ” Strohmeyer, Jr.

Dan is survived by spouse of 50 years, Christine; sons, Bryan Strohmeyer of Linn and Shawn Strohmeyer and wife Janel of Cape Fair; daughter, Danielle Peters and husband Matt of Linn; honorary daughter, Ashley Lahue of House Springs; brothers, Rick Princivalli and wife DeDe of Fenton and David Princivalli and wife Linda of Fenton; sisters, Cindy Walker of Wichita, Kan. and Vicki Massie and husband Ray of Grand Island, Neb.; and five grandchildren,

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 15, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Tim Mitchell officiating. Interment with full military honors was held Monday, May 16, at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorial contributions suggested to Wounded Warrior Project or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
