Dale Arthur Libbert, age 67, of Versailles, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, at his home.
He was born Dec. 9, 1956, son of the late Arthur “Art” John and Lucille “Lucy” Mary (Deeken) Libbert in Jefferson City.
Dale was a graduate of Smith Cotton High School and later attended State Fair Community College in Sedalia. He was a talented carpenter, building countless decks throughout his career and took pleasure in making bird houses for others. Dale enjoyed attending auctions and spending time outdoors fishing. He had a knack for repairing cars and a passion for riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by sisters, Evelyn (Chuck) Jorgenson of Rogers, Ark., and Ruth (Josè) Palasi of Meta; brother, Roger (Colleen) Libbert of Sedalia; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Culp, Charlie Jorgenson, Kevin Ditzfeld, Andrew Ditzfeld, Jessie Young, and Nicolas Palasi; and several great-nieces, one great-nephew, and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (today), Sept. 4, from 10–11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 a.m., at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta with Fr. Leonard Mukiibi officiating. Interment will be held in St. Cecilia Cemetery in Meta.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
