COVID-19 hospitalizations are on the rise in Franklin County

Four people are being treated in Franklin County hospitals for COVID-19. This is according to the latest report from the Franklin County Health Department. There was one hospitalization reported the prior week and the two weekly reports before that showed no hospitalizations due to the virus.

There were 36 new positive cases reported last week with an additional 20 probable cases. That compares to 42 positive cases the previous week and nine probable cases. Only one new cases was reported from the Gerald area, that of a 34-year-old woman.

Long-term care facilities are still remaining free of the coronavirus.

The Franklin County Health Department provides walk-in vaccination appointments Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at their clinic at 414 E. Main St. in Union.

They are also booking appointments for child and adult immunizations, back to school immunizations, STD testing and lead testing. Call (636) 583-7300 to book your appointment.
