MARIES COUNTY — The Phelps-Maries Health Department on Monday reported both Maries and Phelps Counties are in Phase 2 Critical Risk for COVID-19, as reported by the State of Missouri Public Health Warning. The report was made on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020.
Maries County’s PCR seven-day positivity rate was 13 percent. Phelps County’s rate was 12 percent. For Maries County the seven-day case rate per 100K was 161.0 and for Phelps County it was 271.5.
This week’s numbers are better than last week when Maries and Phelps County were in Phase 1 Extreme Risk. It was reported on Dec. 10 by the health department that Maries County’s PCR seven-day positively rate was 23.30 percent. Phelps County’s was 16.7 percent. Maries County’s seven-day case rate per 100K was 310.5 and Phelps County’s rate was 367.9.
County residents are encouraged to continue to wear masks, social distance, and be aware of the Covid-19 coronavirus to help keep themselves, their families, their friends, and their neighbors safe.
