Catherine Johanna “Katie” Brunnert, 91, Argyle, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, in Maries Manor, Vienna.
She was born March 11, 1930, to Henry John and Gertrude Catherine (Schulte) Koerber in Argyle.
She was united in marriage to Joseph George “Joe” Brunnert June 13, 1953, in Argyle.
Katie was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a supporter of the VFW Post 8045 Auxiliary, both in Argyle. She was employed in housekeeping for most of her working life, prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by parents Henry and Gertrude; husband Joseph; half-brothers and half-sisters George Koerber, Kundagunda “Kunda” Weidinger-Volmert, Frank Koerber, Mary Recker, Johanna Kluempers, John Koerber, Henry Koerber, Leo Koerber, Joe Koerber, Ann Cramer, Regina Koerber (died at birth and Peggy’s twin) and Bernadine “Peggy” Markuly.
She is survived by sisters-in-law Dolores Brunnert of Thornton, Colo.; Mary Brunnert of Mustang, Okla.; and Elaine Brunnert of Cheyenne, Okla.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, from 9–11 a.m. in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, with a Mass of Christian burial following with Rev. Basil Tigga as the celebrant and Deacon Michael Brooks assisting. Interment will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle.
