Bobby Joe “Bob” Reeves, 79, Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.
He was born Nov. 4, 1945, to the late William Leonard and Lula Rosa (Thompson) Reeves in Steelville.
He was united in marriage to Helen Marie West Oct. 2, 1970, in Vienna.
Bobby worked at a sawmill and at Langenburg Hat factory, both in Vienna.
He was preceded in death by parents, William Leonard and Lula Rosa; brothers, Leroy Reeves and William Junior “Bill” Reeves; and sister, Susie Rush.
Bobby is survived by wife, Helen of Jefferson City; children, Kenny Reeves, Vanessa Otto, Rosa Ecute and Russell Reeves, all of Jefferson City and Bobbie Bungart and husband Michael of Holts Summit; brothers, Sam Reeves and wife Nancy of Loose Creek and Wayne Reeves and wife Sherry of St. Elizabeth; sisters, Sharlene Lester and husband Dan of South Carolina, Donna Hasley and husband Ed of North Dakota, Darlene Mengwasser and husband Donnie of Linn and Verla Tedana of the state of Texas; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral service was held June 10, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Chapel in Vienna,with Bro. Russell Summers officiating.
Interment was in the Little Flock Cemetery near Vienna.
