Saturday morning will see four area middle school volleyball team invade Belle High School for the inaugural Bland ‘A’ Team Volleyball Tournament.
Teams competing along with the host Lady Bears will include Chamois’ Lady Pirates, Hermann’s Lady Bearcats and Dixon’s Lady Bulldogs.
Bland and Chamois will kick the round-robin style tournament off at 9 a.m., followed by Hermann and Dixon at 9:45 a.m.
Action will continue at 10:30 a.m., with a quasi Gasconade County showdown between Bland and Hermann followed at 11:15 a.m., by Dixon and Chamois.
Afternoon volleyball will kick off at noon with a Highway 100 showdown between Chamois and Hermann before Bland and Dixon cap round-robin play off at 12:45 p.m., with a Highway 28 match up.
The teams with the two best records will play for the tournament championship at 2:15 p.m., after the other two teams play for third place at 1:30 p.m.
Round-robin matches will start at 5-5 with a 25-point cap in each set.
Places matches will be best two out of three sets.
