Looking for a 2-0 start to their season, Belle hit the road last Tuesday into Phelps County to face Newburg’s Wolves.
Trailing 38-21 at halftime, Chris Feeler’s Tigers were not able to get any closer before falling on the road, 72-40.
Thomas Lingo led the Tigers with 12 points followed by eight from Gentry Dunn.
Jacob Walton’s Belle JV Tigers also trailed at 38-15 halftime against Newburg before falling 60-52.
Sam Willis led three JV Tigers in double figures with 14 points. Brayden Cadwallader (12) and Cole Loughridge (10) also scored in double digits for Belle.
