Another meeting on the diamond.
That could be a reality later this week for Belle’s Tigers and Vienna’s Eagles during the Stoutland Fall Baseball Tournament.
Last Thursday in Vienna, Belle scored two first-inning runs when Zane Strunk reached on an error allowing Kaiden Robertson and Ruger Schlottog to score.
Gavin Schwartze reached on an error and scored in the bottom of the seventh before Vienna left the tying and go-ahead runs on the bases in their 2-1 loss to the visiting Tigers.
Depending on how pool play in the upcoming Stoutland Tournament pans out, Belle and Vienna could meet for a third time this fall on the baseball diamond on Friday in Stoutland.
Teams in Pool ‘A’ include Newburg, Stoutland and Vienna while Pool ‘B’ consists of Belle, Bourbon and Otterville.
Tomorrow (Thursday) in Pool ‘A’ games at Stoutland, Vienna will face the host Tigers at 4 p.m., before taking on Newburg at 6 p.m.
Pool ‘B’ action in Belle will start with the host Tigers taking on Bourbon at 4 p.m., before concluding pool play at approximately 8 p.m., against Otterville.
Tournament action will conclude on Friday in Stoutland with the third-place teams in each pool facing off at 4 p.m., followed by the second-place teams in each pool facing each other at approximately 6 p.m.
Capping the tournament will be the championship game between the top teams in each pool with an approximate 8 p.m., first pitch.
