BLAND — Belle senior trippers sold 300 hanging baskets and raised $1,650 over the weekend to help fund their 2021 class trip to Florida, according to class sponsor Sarah Mouser.
“We did really well,” Mouser said. “We sold all 300 baskets at $20 each. Profit wasn’t as good as in the past because the wholesale cost (of each basket) went up. We probably could have sold up to 50 more (baskets).”
Mouser said students have been excited about their trip, which is scheduled for May 2-7.
“So far, fundraising has been great! The kids seem to be pretty excited about the trip and raising money.”
A mostaccioli dinner fundraiser will be available April 17 at $10 per person at the Belle-Bland Community Center. Doors will open at 5 p.m., dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 7 p.m.
