Following the “mysterious disappearance” of the national flag in front of the VFW Memorial in the Owensville Cemetery, I raised a new flag on President’s Day, 15 February, 2021.
On 4 March, I noted the flag and the halyard (rope) were gone. A bare steel pole, well anchored, stands on the site.
I cannot understand the motive for this affront to veterans. Those at rest in the Owensville Cemetery do not deserve this disrepect. It is beyond vandalism.
