BELLE — A local man was charged on June 4 with allegations of burglary in the 1st degree, a class B felony, and is currently being held in the Maries County Jail without bond.
Maries County Associate Judge Kerry Rowden on June 4 issued an arrest warrant for Christopher Bates, who was being held on a 24-hour hold pending the warrant application.
The Belle Police Department’s Sgt. Mark Morgan on June 3 arrested Bates following reports that he was trespassing inside of a residence.
Morgan was called to the scene after the homeowner contacted emergency services to say she came home and found Bates inside her house. Police records indicated Bates was notified previously not to be on the homeowner’s property.
Bates is currently being held on a no-bond warrant.
Keith Lansford was arrested on May 19 by the Belle Police Department following a traffic stop. K9 Kimon was deployed and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics. Morgan located 12 grams of methamphetamine and $2,252 in cash.
While detained, Maries County Associate Judge Kerry Rowden issued a warrant on allegations of delivery of a controlled substance, felony; tampering with physical evidence, felony; and driving while revoked, 2nd offense, misdemeanor.
Lansford has made bond.
