Belle Elementary first graders on March 7 gathered in the Belle High School gym to play games inspired by famous author Dr. Seuss. Famous for his rhyming books that inspire the imagination, Dr. Seuss is recognized each year on his birthday, March 2. This year, the birthday fell on a Saturday, so it was celebrated on the Thursday following the recognized holiday. Students at BES made Oobleck, played with cups, read Dr. Seuss’s books, created imaginary animals inspired by the books from playdough, and several other fun activities.
