On May 4, the Belle Community Betterment Association (BCBA) honored Blossoms Boutique with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Owner, Samie Chitwood of Blossoms Boutique LLC established the business in 2023 as an online shop, moving into a pop-up shop in her stepfather’s business, then her ultimate dream: owning her own shop.

Blossoms Boutique is located at 303 S Alvarado Ave. The boutique is open on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The owner has an active Facebook page and offers shipping.

Chitwood has always loved shopping, fashion, and business. One day, while in a college business class she sent her mom a text message asking if she’d want to go to Atlanta to the market and off they went and from there on her business began to blossom.

Blossoms Boutique has trendy and affordable accessories and clothing from XS to 3XL. Chitwood looks for products that are tasteful and unique- clothes that she and her mom would wear. Since beginning her journey, Chitwood has added trucker hats, accessories, skinny syrups, hand bags, shoes, sandals, boots and much more to her storefront.

“Obviously my favorite color is pink,” Chitwood said about the building. “And the name ‘Blossoms’ came from my stepfather, Jimmy Zumwalt; he used to tease me all the time about sneaking into the refrigerator and tellin’ me I was going to blossom out. It just kind of stuck with me. He’s one of my biggest supporters and I felt it was perfect to incorporate with my dream.”
