Wanda Lea Cox, 86, Dixon, died Monday, May 27, 2019, in Dixon Nursing and Rehab.

She was born Sept. 3, 1932, to Floyd William and Stella Leona (Blackwell) Manes, at Wildwood.

Wanda had been employed as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone, first at Houston and then at Rolla, and had worked in restaurant work as a cook in Rolla, prior to her retirement. She was baptized into the Christian faith in 1949.

She was preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Stella; and brother, Leroy William Manes.

She is survived by sons, James Floyd Cox and wife Deana of Dixon and Michael Richard Cox and wife Christa of Rolla; sister, Viola Jones and husband Wilbur of Dixon; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 30, in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon, with Pastor Helen Winters of Seaton Faith Fellowship Church, near Dixon, officiating. Interment was in Kenner Cemetery, near Dixon.
