Vienna High School Softball Coach Mick Byrd reports that the VHS Softball Team has earned Academic All-State recognition. Byrd said everyone is very proud of the Eagles on this team. To qualify as a team for Academic All-State recognition, the cumulative team GPA must be 3.3 or above. The cumulative GPA for the Eagle team is 3.72, a very fine achievement. Team members are Savannah Siebeneck, Marsie Messersmith, Delana Obenauer, Rhea Helton, Allison Buschmann, Jordyn Steffen, Alexi Struemph, Jada Kleffner, Alicia Long, Faith Forthman, Sadie Novak, Emily Thompson, Kadence George, Jenna Wiles, Kamryn Hayes, Gabrielle Wilkinson, Rachel Garro, Molly Otto, Karissa Feeler, Jena Schwartze and Renee Logan. In addition, six players also earned recognition as individual Academic All State players. The qualifications are: be a sophomore, junior or senior; start at least 70 percent of the varsity games, be in the top 25 percent of the class or have an ACT score of at least 24. Players earning that additional honor are Jena Schwartze, Karissa Feeler, Alicia Long, Alexi Struemph, Jordyn Steffen and Marsie Messersmith. Congratulations to all on this Eagle softball team.
