Dropping a pair of non-conference games against St. James (5-3) and St. Elizabeth (6-1), Chris Feeler’s Belle Tigers stepped back into Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) baseball action looking to get back on the winning track.

On the road last Friday in Viburnum, Belle scored in all five innings going on to a 16-1 mercy-rule victory over the Blue Jays.

Jat Ridenhour paced the Tiger offense with five runs batted in (RBI), two hits and two runs scored. His big hit came in Belle’s five-run second inning with a bases-clearing double scoring Jeb Seaver, Mason Butler and Lane Feeler.

Pitching the first two innings, Colten Robinson earned the win retiring all six batters he faced while recording four strikeouts.

Hosting Steelville’s Cardinals Monday night at Belle City Park, the Tigers looked to improve their GVC record to 3-0 on the season.

A two-run second inning was just enough offense for the Tigers as they went on to a 3-1 victory.

Butler, Ridenhour and Robinson each had two hits for Belle in the win over Steelville.

Weather permitting, Belle will host Newburg’s Wolves marking senior night for the Tigers beginning at 5 p.m., at Belle City Park.
