The Maries County Sheriff’s Office reports Danna Peters is currently in the Cole County Jail in Jefferson City. 

Peters is the alleged accomplice in a car dealership burglary.

Peters, 35, of Loose Creek, is charged in Cole County with the class D felony of receiving stolen property and the class D felony of possession of a controlled substance.

In Maries County, Peters is charged with the class D felony of second degree burglary, the class B felony of stealing a motor vehicle as a prior stealing offender, and the class E felony of stealing, fourth or subsequent stealing offense within 10 years.

She is the alleged accomplice of Ryan Hutchison, 29, who is in the Maries County Jail charged with five felonies. Those charges, including burglary, stealing and property damage, stem from a burglary at Weidinger Chevrolet when two trucks and other parts, equipment, tools and vehicle titles were stolen in late July. 

Maries County Sheriff’s Deputy Lt. Scott John said Peters is charged with stealing a car located in Maries County that belonged to Terry Sanderson. She was caught with the stolen car and with drugs in Cole County. John said she also had in her possession some items from burglaries in Maries County which were identified by the victims of the thefts.

More charges are expected.

She has warrants out from Maries County and Vienna police and at some point after the Cole County charges are processed, Peters will be brought to Maries County to face the consequences of her crimes here.

Maries County court documents allege Peters helped Hutchison with the burglary at the Chevy dealership, driving one of the trucks from the dealership on the night of July 22. She has numerous previous criminal convictions for burglary and stealing in Cole County and Jefferson City.
