The second annual 2019 Belle Community Betterment Association (BCBA) Swap meet June 8 had nearly 1,500 shoppers and participants attend the event.
Stacey Kelly, BCBA member and event planner, said she felt like the day went well.
“We had a great turn out, beautiful weather, lots of cars at the car show, lots of vendors and the public attendance was great.”
Kelly said nearly 100 vendors registered for the event.
Barb Schaller, BCBA secretary, was at the admittance tent all day and said she received several compliments about the event.
“Everyone I talked to had an excellent time shopping with the vendors, listening to live music, attending the car show and visiting with friends,” Schaller said.
Kelly added that visitors didn’t just support the Swap Meet, they supported the community.
“I think the businesses in town did well,” she said. “The Tasty Treat said people came and supported them. They had stamps on their hands, so they knew the visitors who came from the Swap Meet.”
Kelly said they already have some vendors who have reserved their spots for next year.
