Marcella Bure

Marcella Erma Vineyard Bure, 86, Brinktown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 23, 1932, to Hugh and Gertrude Leona (Bremer) Veasman, in the state of Iowa.

She was first united in marriage to Rector Ralph Vineyard and to this union six children were born. He preceded her in death. She later married Charles Francis Bure in 1982.

Marcella was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Ladies Sodality and St. Ann’s Ladies Quilting Circle, all in Brinktown. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Missouri Veterans Home, St. James, and Fort Leonard Wood Hospital.

She was also preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Gertrude; husband, Charles; and brother, Hughie Clyde Veasman.

She is survived by sons, Steve Vineyard and wife Beverly and Gary Vineyard; daughters, Mary Williams and husband Michael of Lake Ozark, Betty Daniels of Derby, Kan., Darlene Schaben and husband Mark of Meta and Brenda Gruber and husband Bob of Fulton; brothers, Gerald Veasman and wife Ella Mae, Omer Veasman and Kenneth Veasman and wife Linda, all of Dixon; sister, Donna Knapp and husband Don; and 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 18, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown. Interment was in Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown.
