Louise Wood, 78, Belle, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Phelps Health in Rolla.

She was born Oct. 16, 1940, to James and Goldie (Craft) Stubblefield, in Malden.

She was united in marriage to Boyd Wood, March 15, 1964.

Louise was a CNA at Gasconade Manor in Owensville for over 30 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word search and watching westerns, but she especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dogs Junior and Rosie. She was of the Baptist/Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by parents, James and Goldie; husband, Boyd; daughter, Teresa Daniels; sisters, Mary Stubblefield and Norma Masters; brother, James Larry Stubblefield; granddaughter, Jennifer Wehmeyer; great-granddaughter, Arizona Wood; and great-grandson, Shannon Wood.

She is survived by sons, Bobby Gann and wife Cynthia of Holts Summit, Doug McGowin and wife Anne of Belle and Jim Wood and Judy Miller of Meta; sisters, Patricia Lorraine and husband Denny of Bon Terre, Carol Hale and husband Don of East Alton, Ill., and Brenda Keating of Belle; grandchildren; Kimberly Preis and husband David, Michael Gann and wife Amber, Megan McGowin, Adam McGowin, Savannah Wood, Brittyn Wood, Tiney Mae Hoogendorn and Dallas Wood; great grandchildren, Jorey Preis, Blain Hoogendoorn and Brogan Gann; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, from 5-7 p.m. at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle. Funeral services will be Friday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle with Pastor Jimmy Hance officiating. Interment will follow at Countryside Memorial Gardens near Owensville. Memorial contributions suggested to the family.
