Henry Alvin Weed, 79, Vienna, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia.

He was born March 19, 1940, to Dennis Joseph and Helena Catherine (Hawk) Weed, at Freeburg.

He was united in marriage to Helen Gertrude Patten, July 20, 1963, at Freeburg.

Henry served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg and had worked at Quaker Window Company, Freeburg, for over 17 years retiring in 2003.

He was preceded in death by parents, Dennis and Helena; son, Jerome William Weed; brothers, Charles, Everett and Leonard Weed; and sister, Rose Horn.

He is survived by wife, Helen, of the home in Vienna; sons, Henry J. Weed Jr. and Matthew John Weed, both of Vienna, Charles Alvin Weed and wife Lisa, Jason Robert Weed and Nicholas Steven Weed and wife Angel, all of Dixon, Thomas William Weed and wife Jackie of Freeburg; daughters, Kimberly Joann Thompson and husband Kevin of Vienna, Gail Jean Weider and husband Gerald of Freeburg, Diane Lynn Monroe and husband Robert of California and Kathy Kay Otto and husband Jim of Argyle; brothers, Robert Weed and wife Ruby of Eldon, John Weed and wife Elsie of Chamois and William Weed and wife Nancy of Ashland; sister, Mary Werdehausen of Holt Summit; and 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

A prayer service was held Monday, April 8, at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, with Rev. William D. Debow leading, followed by full military honors. Private interment was in Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg. Memorial contributions suggested for masses or the Holy Family School, Freeburg.
