Eula Beatrice Doyel, 90, Dixon, died Saturday, May 18, in Westphalia Hills.

She was born March 24, 1929, to Dora Lee and Clara Edna (Wilson) Stokes, at Meta.

She was united in marriage to William Thomas Doyel, Nov. 8, 1945, at Freeburg.

Eula was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church of Brinktown, St. Theresa Catholic Church of Dixon, American Legion Post No. 354 of Brinktown, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4238 of Dixon, Brinktown Ladies Quilting Club and the Dixon Fire Babes. She worked for Brown Shoe Company of Dixon retiring after 35 years of employment.

She was preceded in death by parents, Dora and Clara; husband, William; son, William L. “Billy Lee” Doyel; brothers, James, Floyd, Walter and Wayne Stokes; and sisters, Delphia Miner, Dale Rollins and Marie Miller.

She is survived by son, Lawrence “PeeWee” Doyel of Dixon; daughters, Kathie Kitchens and husband Bill of Holts Summit and Joanna Doyel of Kansas City; and six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, May 23, in the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown, with Rev. Matthew Flatley officiating. Interment was in the Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown. Memorial contributions suggested to masses.
