Dwight David Howard, 65, Meta, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.
He was born July 16, 1953, to Claud Howard and Rosa Margaret (Schaffer) May, in Jefferson City.
Dwight was preceded in death by parents, Claud and Rosa; brother, James May; and brother-in-law, Al Kempker.
He is survived by children, Stacy Worthington and husband Rick of Wardsville, Erin Conner and husband Daniel of Iberia, Katie Kempker and husband Steve of Meta and Jacob Howard and wife Makayla of Jefferson City; brother, Stanley Davis and wife Janie; sisters, Janice Kempker, Carolyn McFadden and husband Robert, Pamela Arnold and husband Jim and Gloria Phillips; sister-in-law, Leora May; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 17, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta with Bro. Bob Hamm officiating. Interment was in Southside Cemetery in Meta. Memorial contributions suggested to Southside Cemetery.
