Able to end her Belle High School volleyball career at home, Belle senior Brandi Thompson was the lone selection for the Lady Tigers to the Class 2, District 8 All-District Volleyball Second Team.
First-team selections from the tournament played in Belle include Ellie Crede (Fatima), Claire Nilges (Fatima), Allison Sampson (Fatima), Faith Bair (Steelville), Cassie Mitchell (Cuba), Taylor Montalbano (Cuba) and Lindsey Lebel (Linn).
Second-team selections along with Thompson included Sofia Kelly (Cuba), Jenna Biggs (Steelville), Lexi Heidbrink (Linn), Kylee Smith (Cuba), Ashlyn Lewis (Bourbon) and Timber Adams (Steelville).
Fatima posted wins over Dixon and Cuba in two sets to capture the district title.
Advancing to sectional volleyball action Saturday at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Fatima saw their season end in a two-set loss to Hermann.
