The Belle Boys from the History Channel’s coming reality show Heavy Hitters took ownership of Belle Wednesday night by adding “Boys” to the water tower on Belle Avenue. As Nick Lee, co-producer of the show, and his film crews captured the moment, Belle Public Works Director Nathan Abel, his wife Alderman Courtney Abel, and community members looked upwards from the corner of Alvarado Avenue and Belle Avenue. Lee said with four derbies down and two to go, The Belle Boys felt they could take ownership of the town. “It’s a horse race now,” Lee said. “Only one man can win.”
