The Ya-Yas held their seventh annual Battle of the Bulls event at the Belle city park on Saturday evening. Despite multiple Saturday events the Battle of the Bulls filled the park with an excellent crowd. The packed event raised almost $20,000 for the Ya-Yas. The Ya-Yas have now raised a total of $210,000 for use in the community. A total of 31 riders and 15 bull teams competed in the event from eight different states including; Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Kansas and Nebraska. The Wyoming and Minnesota visitors were very complimentary of our town, our people and the event. They told the Ya-Yas they had not encountered a more friendly welcoming event for such a great cause and they would be returning for years to come and are planned to bring more next year.
