All-District accolades for Tiger soccer trio

While Belle Tiger soccer may have ended their season with a 7-0 loss to Cole Camp in the first round of the MSHSAA Class 1, District 4 soccer tournament in Stover, a trio of Tigers earned All-District honors for their play on the pitch throughout the season.

Belle Tiger soccer players earning All-District nods in Scott Moran’s first season as head coach included the freshmen duo of Jason White and Will Doss along with sophomore Kaleb Miller.

Other All-District honorees included Bryce Bauer (Stover), Charlie Black (Stover), Keygan Fox (Cole Camp), Nicola Grisenti (Cole Camp), Chad Nolting (Stover), Dayton Oelrichs (Cole Camp), Justin Parker (Smithton), Chais Paul (Cole Camp), Cory Petree (Stover), Blane Staus (Smithton), Alex Stilfield (Smithton), Welton VoSmith (Cole Camp), Carter Wienberg (Cole Camp) and Hunter Wolfe (Stover).

Finishing their season at 3-13, Belle posted a pair of wins against Maranatha Baptist Academy once in the regular season and during the Belle Tournament in mid-October.

Belle’s other victory in 2018 came via a 1-0 decision on the road at Iberia prior to their home tournament.

Cole Camp went on to defeat Stover 4-1 in the district championship match to advance to one of four Class 1 Quarterfinal matches on Saturday against Lutheran North.

Two more Belle opponents on their 2018 slate also won district championships in Laquey’s Hornets in Class 1 and Southern Boone’s Eagles in Class 2.
